Haldex Race Spring upgrade Gen 5

Upgrade Haldex spring for all MQB vehicles such as e. g. Golf 7R, S3, TTS, TT RS or RS3. Our modified spring is easy to install and provides higher contact pressure, which helps to achieve faster 0–100 km/h times in drag racing or for launches in general.

The stock parameters of the Haldex are factory set and can be adjusted or optimized by means of software and/or control unit. However, we wanted to provide a different way without having to possess in-depth software knowledge.

Inside the Haldex unit there is a pressure relief valve – comparable to a bypass valve for the rear axle differential. As soon as the pressure in the Haldex unit reaches a certain value, the valve opens and releases the excess pressure. By replacing our spring, we can mechanically increase the contact pressure of the Haldex clutches.

This is a simple hardware upgrade and does not require any additional software. Only basic adjustments via VCDS or e. g. OBDEleven are necessary.
